Journalist Seeks to Obscure Truth in Reporting on Invaders

By Douglas B. Wakeman
This has to be one of the
funniest things I have come across in a long time! And that's after watching the
serfs riot in Greece today
while the police stand around dodging fire bombs!
Now, that was funny!
Anyway, did you know there is an organization called "The Society of
Professional Journalists?" Okay, that's funny! But, there's more! Journalism
used to be about truth. This
article I saw today
is specifically about how to obscure the truth.
This organization has a Diversity Committee. How can you be a journalist while
hobbling around in the shackles of political correctness? You can't! And to
prove it, this absurd creature named Leo E. Laurence vomits out a piece on the
use of the terms, "illegal immigrant", and, "illegal alien" (which I prefer as
the more accurate, though I actually prefer, "criminal invader").
Now, the plain fact is that these people are here illegally. They are illegals.
That's the truth. Whether they are immigrants or aliens, they are illegal. They
broke the law coming here. They knew they were breaking the law as the snuck
over and past fences and avoided interaction with law officers after arriving
here. A real journalist, desiring to portray people and events, using plain language
that describes those people and events as accurately as possible uses the words,
"illegal" or "criminal" in his writing.
But Laurence prefers the term, "undocumented." Ha ha! As if some piece of paper
erases the underlying crime! I guess if some stranger raped this guy's wife, he
would consider him an "undocumented husband", lacking only a marriage
certificate to mitigate his trespass.
But the absolute funniest thing is his invocation of the Constitution as one of his justifications for this newspeak crappola.
How do you twist excusing the crime of these invaders into a constitutional argument? The presumption of innocence of course! That's right! You cannot use the word, "illegal" until every single invader has had his day in court and has been convicted by a judge and jury of entering the country illegally! This means that a so-called "professional journalist" can never use any word describing any crime until every perpetrator of that particular crime, past, present and future has had his case adjudicated! "Burglar!" You can't use that word! How dare you presume the guilt of American citizens! Ha ha!
And the very, absolutest, positiveliest funniest thing is seeing a radical, Leftist invoking the Constitution in his argument, however tortured and misguided his usage! Isn't that exposing a bias in favor of a particular viewpoint? What does some document created by a bunch of racist, homophobic, greedy, capitalistic, slave-owning white men have to do with journalistic truth Mr. Laurence?
He even goes so far as to appeal to Americanism! A modern American journalist writing of America and the Constitution in support of his position! Did you think you would ever see the day?

It is friggin' riot!
