Iran Election Funnies

One of the contenders in Iran’s runoff election, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (who, in this phony election, has been anointed by the “devout” Mullahs) was chief of the terror and assassination bureau of the barbaric Revolutionary Guards.  He has an endearing style that was showcased in his response to the revelation that the hip, young Iranians were disparaging him through the medium of cell-phone text messaging.

He said, "I have the address and phone numbers of those who have slandered me.”

He has as much chance of being legitimately elected by fed-up Iranians as Howard Dean does with white Christians.

This shows how well acquainted the Islamists are with the nuance and strategy of elective politics.  Can you imagine an American politician saying, “I have the address and phone numbers of those who do not support me!”????

I just have to wonder…..why do they go through the charade?  We should be encouraged by their pathetic attempt to imitate freedom, however ineptly.
