How Ted Turner and I Ended The Cold War

Ted Turner feels he had some part in ending the Cold War. "I thought, between sports and news and television and friendship, that you could end the Cold War and, by God, we did," he said.
I have felt the same way for some time. In the late ‘80s I believed that by riding motorcycles, drinking beer and painting houses that we could end the Cold War. And, sure enough, it soon ended!
Incidentally, I give a lot of credit to my cat, Window. She thought that by chasing mice, burying her turds and getting petted, that the Cold War could be ended. Her strategy, also, seems to have worked.
